HIKE TIMES

Sunday hikes cover about 5 miles and start at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday hikes cover about 3 miles and start at 7:30 p.m. The St. Paul Hiking Club does not assume liability for accidents or injury.

MEMBERSHIP

The fiscal year extends from April 1st to March 31st. Dues are $10.00/year. People joining after October 1st pay reduced dues of $5.00/person. Checks should be written to: St. Paul Hiking Club, and mailed to: Pat Hustings, 1647 E. Brooks Ave., St. Paul, MN 55109.

SPECIAL OUTREACH - FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN,

Give hope to the hungry. Volunteers of all ages needed to pack highly nutritious meals, consisting of rice, textured soy protein, dehydrated vegetables, 20 vitamins and minerals, and vegetarian chicken flavor for severely malnourished children. Each meal has all the nutrients a starving child requires for an entire day. The meals are distributed to starving children in over 45 countries around the world. Our date is: Monday, July 14 at 9:30 a.m. We will be working at their Eagan packing facility, 990 Lone Oak Rd., Ste. 124 in Eagan, MN. For more information, contact Carole Isaak at 651-459-0527.

ANNUAL POTLUCK SUMMER PICNIC – DON’T FORGET!

Is coming up on Sunday July 13, 2008 at Keller Regional Park, Keller Island, site #13 this year, located on the West side of Highway #61 at Co. Rd. B, South of Hwy #36, Maplewood. Meet @ 1:00 p.m. to eat; bring food to share, plates, utensils, beverages and chairs. We’ll play the dice/pie plate game, bring a wrapped white elephant (per person) for game and we’ll hike after the game.
